Apple today acquired MotionVFX, a major developer of plugins, visual effects, and motion graphics tools for Final Cut Pro. MotionVFX is a Polish software company founded by Szymon Masiak in 2009. It creates high-quality plugins, transitions, templates, and visual effects (VFX) for video editors, specializing in tools for Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Apple Motion.

Can Gemini 2.0 Teach Final Cut Pro?
A fascinating and ultimately humorous video of Mark Spencer from Ripple Training (who I’ve purchased training and plugins for Final Cut) attempting to have Google’s Gemini 2.0 teach HIM Final Cut Pro. Fascinating that it can “see” his screen and know he’s in the Final Cut app – humorous in the number of times Mark has to correct the “trainer”. The following quote is said at least a 1/2 dozen times:
“You are correct. I apologize for the confusion.”
Still a ways to go and lots of obvious human interaction (or general humanity) implications!

Final Cut Pro for Mac – Apple:
With optimizations for Apple silicon and the power of its Metal engine, Final Cut Pro allows you to edit more complex projects and work with larger frame sizes, higher frame rates, and more effects — all at incredible speeds. And it’s built to harness the extreme power of Mac Pro, Mac Studio or MacBook Pro for next-level performance.
